Arangetram Invites

An Arangetram is a milestone in a Bharatanatyam Dancers life, when the dancer ascends the stage for their first solo debut performance. At most professional schools, the invitations and brochure formats remain constant, with changes in photographs & colour schemes. 

These invitations are 5x7", and were printed & given a UV protective film on 100lb card stock. Initially, I streamlined the text in order to keep the information crisp & to the point. I then moved from the old single-sided layout to a double sided layout, and used the beauty of the Bharatanatyam Costume as the inspiration for my design.

The target market for these Arangetram Invitations would be the attendees; friends, family, and lovers of classical dance and music. It was important to display the full splendour of the colours and textures, giving a glimpse into the complexity the show would also present.
